Atcham Business Park Case Study

Whilst Atcham Business Park is located between the Broadband exchanges of Telford and Shrewsbury, a reliable broadband connection was not available for speeds over 512kb/s. Frustratingly for the owners and tenants of Atcham Business Park it was apparent that a much quicker, more reliable broadband connection was available just 1 mile down the road.

The reason that residents 1 mile down the road could access a quicker connection was due to the location of Atcham Business Park in relation to the two different BT exchanges that service the area. Atcham Business Park residents were supplied by one exchange whilst their neighbours down the road were serviced by a completely different exchange.

Covering the distance

When Shiloh Jentech did the survey of Atcham Business Park and the surrounding areas it was obvious that a Shiloh Wireless Connection was going to provide the ideal solution for Atcham tenants to receive the broadband connection they require to run their businesses.

Shiloh Jentech’s expert wireless technicians were able to find the location required to feed a broadband signal into Atcham Business Park. Conveniently it was discovered that the feed point came from a business literally across the field from Atcham Business Park. From this new feed point a broadband connection was established to Atcham Business Park using Shiloh Jentech’s Wireless Technology.

The result

The tenants of Atcham Business Park now receive broadband signals at speeds of up to 6Mb/s which is over 10 times greater than the speed that was previously available from BT. As a result of the new broadband connection, Atcham Business Park is now able to attract new tenants that previously were un able to run a business on the park without a broadband connection.
